The
VIEW (Voices Integrating
East and West) collaborative strives to create a
forum for education, research, and cooperative projects focused on planning
and design issues that partner East Asia community with that of the U.S. We
are interested in creating a process of cross-cultural dialogue and exchange
that promotes a sensitivity to awareness of cultural needs and preferences
as part of the design and planning professions including: Landscape
Architecture, Planning, Architecture, Natural Resource Sciences, Geography,
Engineering, and others.
The main
objectives of VIEW is to engage in
cross-cultural work with partners from different cultures to address some of the issues
in landscape design and planning in these regions and with East Asians
populations living in the U.S. This work includes the development of
educational programs, the development of joint research projects, and collaborative
design and planning projects
